Friday Five for 18 April 2008

Fact or Fiction?

This week’s set was suggested by breath_of_life. Label the following fact of fiction and state why you did.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction? Fiction. For me so far, it hasn’t been love at first sight. Not to say that it can’t happen, just that it hasn’t happened to me yet. I’m not giving up though. I would love to fall in love at first sight.
2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?
Fiction. Most of the time, fortunes are very generic, i.e. “You will go on a big trip.” Not to say that there aren’t people who can really tell a fortune, but very few are specific enough to make it believable.
3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction? Fact. If there is life on Earth, why can’t there be life on other planets?
4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction? I`m torn on this. While I want to believe that there is an afterlife, I think that when we die,  we just die. However, I also believe in ghosts, so I`m not sure how both of these work together.
5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction? Fiction. He has to be dead by now.

Busy Busy Friday

The Friday Five
1. What’s the most strange thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? The hippie that walked along the main street wearing girl’s clothing.

2. What’s the most obvious thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? That is it a little too cold for me to be wearing flip flops (like I couldn’t tell when my feet turned blue)
3. What’s the most miserable thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? That we all age and die.
4. What’s the most extraordinary thing anyone has ever pointed out to you? The full rainbow that my mom pointed out to me one day, we could see every inch of it, shining brightly.
5. What’s the greatest thing that anyone has ever pointed out to you? That no matter how tough things may get, they will always get better eventually. Just keep your head up and believe that it will get better.
